The seedy and the bucksome

Why is it that aged men of the "Asian-persuasion" wearing pleather jackets and tweed slacks have a tendency to have wandering eyes - and make it soooo obvious? It happened to me in Japan 7 years ago... now the seedy tweedy have followed the bucksome women to Australia (and I'm sure to the rest of the world).

This perver, in particular, was not very "professional"... at one point it appeared like he was going to fall face-first into the cleavage of a young woman as she stood up from her seat. And the dodgy hands-in-pocket-while-I-stare routine is really off putting.

Thank goodness for Ben's quick thinking and Kassidy's scarf! I might have been oggled to the point of taking sanguinary action.

Ode to the Emo

Dear Emo kids,

Without you at shopping centres and inner city places, I think my shopping experience would be as dull as your facial expressions. You're the most amusing and abundant source of public entertainment. You're flawed outlook on life only brightens mine. You look like the fat kid in the playground who dropped his ice-cream; just standing there, staring... wishing life wouldn't be so bitter... yet relishing the angst while cursing gravity. It's ok, you at least made me smile. You're the best solution to a boring day - "people watching" wouldn't be complete without the token emo. So thanks, Emo kids, for not cheering up. You enrich the lives of everyone else; whether it be through hating you, dating you or simply laughing at you.

Keep crying and Happy cutting!

This is totally going in my blog

Some people suggest that the best way to get someone to do something you want is by bluffing. But I find I get results faster if I say "This is totally going in my blog". Apparently, embarrassing stories are a "no go zone" for most - and of course, make great bargaining chips. But recently, I've just been saying it for the amusement just to see what someone would do to change my mind. Nothing bizzare or desperate yet, but there will be a key point where I just know that someone may bribe me :P
P.S. A coffee is fine
